Important First Steps in Separation + Divorce

WELCOME to the introductory offering in a series of presentations, workshops, and classes on the ABCs of Separation, Divorce, Family Court, and Protective Parenting

This collaboration is between Kaia Alline of Family Cult Recovery and Anuhea Nakoma of Protective Parent Consulting.

No matter what way you look at separation or divorce,

it's not easy.

Whether you're in a partnership that you're questioning, feeling the desire to get out of one, or you've left and are wondering 'now what?' - it's easy to feel overwhelmed with the experience.

We have been there - we get it. With years of collective experience in grief, trauma, communication, documentation, divorce, safety planning, family court, co-parenting and the legal aspects of it all, we bring expertise, experience and support with one goal in mind:

Give you tools to acquire the freedom you desire.

QUESTIONS you might be contemplating:

  • How do you know if you're ready to separate?

  • Now what? You made the difficult decision to leave your marriage and now you're overwhelmed by the next steps.

  • Are you wishing there was a step-by-step instruction book for how to navigate the separation/divorce process?

  • Have you left your marriage/relationship but still find yourself holding on and wondering if you made a mistake?

  • Is your post-separation ex suddenly acting like a completely different person?
  • Are you wondering how to establish a new routine for the children?
  • Are you wondering if you need to take safety precautions?
  • Are you struggling with figuring out where to live when you leave?
  • Wondering why you feel exhausted, irritable or frozen post-separation?
  • Have you lost friends or family members after choosing to leave a relationship?
  • Wondering how to support your children in the transition of separation?
  • Do you know the separation/divorce laws in your state?
  • Not sure if you need an attorney or how to choose the right one?

Our solution for these questions:

  1. Understand the emotional components of what you've been through and are going through.
  2. Gather the facts about your current situation.
  3. Get support, tools and expertise to guide you through the process.
  4. Create plans to support your action steps.
  5. Feel empowered in your actions and reclaim your self worth, trust and freedom.

This workshop addresses all of these questions and more, and will equip you with everything you need to move forward even through fear.
